Last week (8–9 December 2023), the University of Hong Kong hosted the Translation Studies and the Digital Humanities conference. In one of the parallel sessions accompanying the keynote speakers session, our colleague Ondřej Vimr spoke about his research focus.
His paper concerned data-driven research on how Czech literature has spread worldwide through translations over the last almost two hundred years. Ondřej Vimr presented different approaches to the integration, harmonisation, qualitative evaluation and interpretation of diverse bibliographic data and datasets that can help researchers in their efforts to compile a bibliography of translations (especially those related to small national literatures).
