At the end of October, the first volume of the collective monograph Gesto a skutečnost. Umění v meziválečném Československu, to which Anna Gnot from the CLB contributed, was published.
The book offers a new insight into the history of literature, art and culture. The collective of authors in this volume focused on the idea of Czechoslovak statehood, the issue of national identities, and explored the tensions between politics and everyday life in the new state.
Among the forty studies, you will also find a contribution by our colleague on regional separatism in the work of the Lachian poet Óndra Łysohorský.
Next Tuesday, a book launch and discussion with the authors will take place in the lower hall of the Institute for Czech Literature of the CAS.
