On May 18—19, an online conference Electronic Library Service VI will take place. The event is organized by František Bartoš Regional Library in Zlín. The event will focus on online services, digital libraries, web and mobile apps, e-reading, library systems, virtual assistants in libraries, online education, and advanced library services.

Our colleague Pavla Hartmanová will attend the event with a paper ‘Czech Literary Bibliography in the Digital Age’.

Abstract:

The Czech Literary Bibliography is the basic research infrastructure for Czech literary studies and other related disciplines. The primary goal of this branch article database has remained the same for 74 years, however, thanks to new technologies, its technical background, excerpt portfolio (reflection of Czech literature and culture in the online environment), and users’ expectations from such a database have changed significantly in the recent years – content, services (open access, access to full texts). These changes took place mainly within the Czech Literary Internet Project (2016–2021). It focused on three areas – own research, excerpt, and development of software tools. The paper describes the course of the project and its results.
