Last week, the National Library of the Czech Republic launched a new, modern look for its website. Having recently undergone a similar process, we know how challenging it is to debug any bugs, so we share the NL’s Facebook request to report broken pages and elements, while keeping our fingers crossed that the site can be brought up to 100% shape soon.
Of course, we also ask that you continue to report anything that does not work as you would expect in the databases of the CLB (you can use the “Report a bug” or “I know more” buttons for individual records). It is in fact the “live operation” where the real needs of users are always the most evident.
Did you know that…
…in terms of the day-to-day operation of the Czech Literary Bibliography, the National Library is an indispensable institution? For example, we use its indexes of name and subject authorities, its digital catalogues and resources help us, and last but not least we go to the National Library building to excerpt periodicals that are not available in the library of the Institute of Czech Literature. In addition, our records can be linked to the author’s or other person’s record in the National Library of the Czech Republic’s Database of National Authorities.
