The Institute of Western and Southern Slavic Studies of the University of Warsaw has become the 15th member of the Consortium, which represents the communication between Czech literary studies departments outside the Czech Republic.
The Institute of Western and Southern Slavic Studies is the second Slavic institution with which we cooperate within the Consortium in Warsaw – the first one being the Institute of Slavic Studies of the Polish Academy of Sciences.
The Consortium of Czech Literary Studies has been operating at the Institute of Czech Literature and the research infrastructure Czech Literary Bibliography since 2015. It was established on the occasion of the Fifth World Congress of Czech Literary Studies. Currently, the Consortium has fifteen members, among which are Czech literary studies departments from Poland, Germany, Austria, France, Italy, Belgium, Slovakia and Croatia.
The aim of the consortium is to mediate communication between foreign Czech literary studies departments. This is achieved through the newsletter Czech Literary Studies: News from the Field and the collection of bibliographic data on publications by foreign scholars of Czech literary studies associated in the Consortium.
