At the end of 2024, two publications dedicated to Czech historical calendars were published within the ALKARO project.
The first is a catalogue for the exhibition Czech-Moravian Treasury: Czech Calendars of the 19th and First Half of the 20th Century, which traces the history and different types of calendars in the collections of the Moravian Library. The catalogue was edited by Tomáš Kubíček.
The second publication is a bibliographic inventory of Calendars in the Czech Lands 1801–1945 by Jaromír Kubíček, which includes an accompanying study by Václav Vaněk from the Institute of Czech Literature and Comparative Studies at the Charles University.
Both books were published by the Moravian Library and are the output of the ALKARO project – Almanacs, calendars, yearbooks in the Czech lands 1801–1945, funded by the Ministry of Culture under the NAKI III Programme, to which the CLB has contributed for the second year by creating a bibliographic database focused on, among others, the literary content of calendars.
