On 21–23 November 2023, under the auspices of the Czech National Agency for International Education and Research, the CZEDUCON conference takes place in Brno. CZEDUCON is a platform for experts and practitioners in the field of internationalisation of higher education institutions. The three-day meeting aims to share good practices across Europe, discover new opportunities and trends and find solutions to current challenges.
Our colleague Pavla Hartmanová attended the pre-conference lecture Navigating the Ethical Compass: Research and Education on the first day of the event.
Ethical behaviour in research influences the relevance and credibility of academic research institutions and their results. This is also why compliance with ethical rules is systematically promoted both at the national and European level – e.g. as a condition for applying for a grant.
The Czech Literary Bibliography as a part of the Institute of Czech Literature of the CAS has long been committed to the observance of ethical procedures of scientific work not only by a responsible and transparent approach to its employees, as evidenced by the prestigious HR Award, but also by the way it communicates its research data, which is available in open access mode, i.e. free of charge and in digital form.
