The CLB seeks to provide the most up-to-date and complete records of print and online publications about Czech literature, literary studies and associated fields. Our databases receive more than 100,000 per year, particularly from scholars and university students. Approx. 20% of these users access our resources from abroad. The data in our records are available to any web user on an open-access basis.
We welcome suggestions from the editorial staff of existing or defunct periodicals about the listing of specific titles including the launch of new titles or creation of online public archives of already listed journals. We are also pleased to enter into more systematic arrangements around these activities. Our goal is to record all periodicals published in the Czech Republic that regularly feature Czech literature and literary activities. Our records do not include local newspapers, and periodicals not intended for the public are assessed on an individual basis.
We offer the chance to link the full texts of your periodical articles to our bibliographic records. This can boost readership and visibility. We are also happy to discuss the option of machine-processing your digital archives to link them to our records.
