On the 100th anniversary of Josef Škvorecký’s birth, a publication by Michal Přibáň entitled Errol. Josefa Škvoreckého život první, 1924–1969 came out.
The first part of the biographical monograph follows in detail Škvorecký’s life and creative fate from his first literary attempts to his departure for exile in Toronto in 1969. The book is already available for purchase in the Institute of Czech Literature of the CAS e-shop.
The book is one of the outputs of the five-year project Czech Literary Exile 1948–1989 (DH23P03OVV011), which the Czech Literary Bibliography has been coordinating together with colleagues from the Museum of Literature thanks to support from the NAKI III programme of the Ministry of Culture since last year.
